Thomas C Card

These beautiful bird images remind me of a similar project by Solve Sundsbo. Card's softer use of colour and more delicate movement of the birds gives his images an ethereal quality to them on the contrary to Solve's, which are more vibrant and dramatic.

Glitz and Bling of 'The Simple Things'

This sculpture was created by artist Takashi Murakami, musician Pharrell Williams and jeweler Jacob & Co for the Art Basel fair this year. Jacob recreated a selection of everyday objects chosen by Pharrell in premium metals and glitzy jewels. The jewel encrusted products including Pharrell's Ice Cream sneakers, a Pepsi can and a condom are placed in the mouth of Murakami's sculpture forming this wacky installation.
