The Wilderness Downtown - Interactive Video

Interactive online video The Wilderness Downtown has won the Favourite Website Award of the Year (2010). The site was made to promote Arcade Fire’s track, We Used To Wait. Through Google Maps it takes you on a personal jounrney to your home town and portrays a verision of ‘you’ running through the streets as a kid. A highly technical and innovative approach to telling a story and engaging the viewer by evoking child-hood memories.

Produced and created by the Google wizards in collaboration with director Chris Milk at Radical Media and B-Reel.
